In the name of all German nuclear plant operators, the RWE Power AG has the evaluation performed as per the KTA 1401 regulation regarding a company’s ability to provide important safety deliveries and services for nuclear plants. RWE has appointed (so-called “evaluating VGB partner�) Tim Ritzmann of AREVA NP GmbH, Erlangen (as approved VGB audit manager). Christian Jahnke of the Kernkraftwerk Gundremmingen GmbH followed the evaluation as RWE representative and VGB auditor.

Following the successful audit, VGB extended the validity of the confirmation of suitability as per the KTA 1401 regulation. The basis of approval for the audit is a quality management system as per DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. The KTA certificate offers customers a great amount of safety. Certified suppliers must meet strictest requirements, have safe processes and provide especially qualified personnel on site. These factors are of very decisive importance especially when it comes to nuclear plants.
